Potential Analysis in Cooperation with the Municipality of Fürstenfeldbruck

Fliegerhorstkonversion Potential Analysis

As a result of the discussion about the guiding principles and of the climate protection concept at district level, a structure and potential analysis was commissioned in order to specify the target statements developed for the municipalities in the district. The structure and potential analysis is an informal decision‐making tool municipalities can use for their future settlement development planning.

A compact residential and business development is outlined for a major part of the area at the air base and in the municipalities of Emmering and Maisach which directly border the air base. This concept deviates from the existing regional planning guidelines which tended to prevent the different settlement areas from growing together. Should the concerned municipalities want to follow this recommendation, it may become necessary to intensify inter‐municipal coordination processes.

The final structural and potential analysis is due to be presented in spring 2017.
